All about fat -

Fat is a very dense source of energy and it is very important for functioning of heart, brain and many other organs.

Fats are classified in 3 categories

• Saturated fat
• Monounsaturated fat
• Polyunsaturated fat

Saturated fat means it remain solid at room temperature and found in various food products.

  Example:- dairy products, milk, cheese, butter, chicken, lamb, beef and red meat.

Saturated fat raise the low density lipoprotein and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and risk of heart attack, obesity, cancer and high blood pressure.

Monounsaturated fat means the fat will be in liquid state at the room temperature and found in nuts and seeds.

Example:-  Almonds, peanuts, olive oil, avocado, cold press oil, sesame seeds.

Polyunsaturated fat  increase the HDL which is basically known as good cholesterol and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and heart attack.

Omega 3 fatty acid is the essential fatty acid which required for proper functioning of brain and heart and it is anti inflammatory and anti aging.

Sources of Omega 3 fatty acid

flaxseed are the highest sources of Omega   3 fatty acid.
Chia seed, fish oil, fish like Salmon,tuna.
